Text: John 3:1-7; Psalm 139:1-12
Key Verse: John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (KJV)

When God gave us eyes, He gave us eyes that cannot see in darkness, but when God created these animals, cats, wolves, foxes, mice, bats and owls, He gave them eyes that see at night. God Who gave these animals eyes that sees at night, He sees at night and God Who gave us eyes that only see in the day, He sees in the day. God sees in the day; He sees in the night and He sees everywhere. It is good that you have this understanding because it will help you a lot, so that nobody will be sneaking around, thinking evil and you are pretending that you are a good man. How can you be a good man when you are thinking evil? You need to be saved; you need to be delivered and you need to be set free.

Any man who lives in the flesh fulfils the sinful desires of the flesh and does not live in the spirit. Paul in his epistle to the Galatians commanded them to walk in the spirit, so that they would not gratify the sinful desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). When you live after the flesh, you will have your mind on the things of the flesh, but when you are controlled by the Holy Spirit, you do things that please God (Romans 8:5). To be born of the spirit is to be saved from your sins and then you begin to walk in the spirit. In our society today, we see people who involve themselves in idol worship, ungodliness of all types, women becoming lesbians and men becoming homosexuals (Romans 1:24-26).

Today in our world, we are talking of rape, we are talking of homosexuals, we are talking of lesbians, we are talking about wickedness going on in some primary schools, more in secondary schools, more in Polytechnics and more in our universities.

There are people we have read about who fly out of the country. They can fly anywhere, a man will take another man, go out there and they will perform their homosexual act and fly back to Nigeria. It has become as costly as that. They are living after their flesh, and they need to be saved. We have not started talking about sugar mummies and sugar daddies; all types of immoral things are going on all over the place and of course, you can see that the fashion of women in our days has helped to promote sexual impurity. Women’s fashion in our days is to show their breasts, to show their buttocks and to show everything. The devil is using them to put people under captivity and bondage, and the foolish people will be running after these women (Romans 1:27-29). People everywhere are living out the unfruitful works of darkness. They will never be right; they will never say let’s do it right. They will never say this is correct; let’s go this way. They will see what is right, but they will come with the doctrine of Absalom and the man who is wrong will be told that he is right.

If your life is filled with these unfruitful works of darkness, you need to be saved, delivered and set free. Jesus breaks all the chains and yokes of sin. You need to surrender your life completely to Christ and receive Him into your life as your Lord and Saviour and then, He will give you power to live above sin.
