Rele Gallery’s The #YoungContemporaries2018 exhibition opens this afternoon, Sunday, January 14th, 2018 at 3pm and will run through February 25th, 2018, at 6pm.

“Five bright, and promising young artists working in diverse mediums with varying degrees of skills and techniques have been selected and highlighted as the ones to watch out for in 2018”, the Gallery says.

“Themes in this year’s works include; sexuality, cultural and self-identity, socio-political commentary, and the bipolarity of human nature”…. At Bogobiri House in Ikoyi, Re-Vibe Lagos (themed: Music from the new sound) takes on Monday January 22 from 5pm.

It features Food Bank, Clothes Bank and Games. WAZOBIA FM (SOCA) Carnival 2018 holds at the Muri Okunola Park on February 3, 2018, featuring AY, Yaw, Lolo, MC Shakara and a host of others.

The BEETA Universal Arts Foundation presents the stage play, Our Son The Minister, by Paul Ugbede, at TerraKulture Arena on February 9, 10 and 11 at 3pm and 5pm daily.

This is the winning play from the maiden edition of Beeta Playwright Competition organised by the Foundation, founded by the actress Bikiya Graham Douglas. It is a satire of the Nigerian situation and highlights societal culpability in making bad leaders.
