Family Day of fun at Ocean Crest School

This year’s Family Day at Ocean Crest School, Lekki, was interesting and exciting, as it featured more activities than usual. Held in the school premises, the day is set aside to enable parents, management, staff and pupils come together to interact in a convivial atmosphere.

A special event that is highly anticipated, the school usually ensures guests are treated to the best of everything, since it occurs once a year.

So, the guests are treated to barbecue, dance, games and other thrilling activities.

Parents and their children took to the dance floor to display the latest dance steps to good music and melodious songs playing in the background.

Although a seemingly adult affair, the children were not left out of the fun, as they entertained themselves with different games, leaving their parents to do their own thing.

The children also entertained themselves with activities such as bouncing castle, face painting and drawing, among others.

The school’s Director of Studies, Mrs. Fadekemi Hassan, said the occasion was a forum for bonding between the school and the parents, even as the children are also not left out in the scheme of things.

She said: “We appreciate our parents, who always support and encourage us. It is our own way of showing this appreciation and telling them that we count on their unfailing support all the time.”

“It is also a platform for the parents to interact among themselves. This way, the school and the parents come together to celebrate and have fun, while interacting meaningfully.”
