Pomp as friends, family celebrate Henry Enyinna at 50

Members of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos, have celebrated Sir Henry Enyinna with pomp on his 50th birthday, pouring encomiums on him for his commitment and generosity.

Speaking during the programme, the church Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Ashibi, urged the celebrant, a Business Development Officer, Zenith Bank Trade Fair Branch, to continue to serve God even as he encouraged others to emulate him.

“He is very present and generous to the community here. On his 50th birthday we wish him well. We ask that he will continue to love God, to serve God and continue to bless God in all ways. As he is celebrating 50, he is an example for us. We ask that God will always bless those who serve and honour Him. So, it is a clarion call on us not to relent in serving God and continue to do good.

The Grand President of Lagos Grand Commandery Knight of St. John International, Brig. Gen. Paulinus Nwankwo, also prayed for Enyinna, saying: “God who has blessed you to this level will take you to greater heights. The blessings of God will overwhelm you. It will overtake you.

Whatever you have spent today to celebrate your life, God will multiply it with long life and wealth.”

Responding, Enyinna, the President General of Onicha Amiri Development Union, Ezinihitte Mbise, Lagos and immediate past President, Rotary Club of Festac Town, thanked God for keeping him alive and members of the church for their support.

“I am short of words. It is the Lord’s doing. I give God the glory for keeping me alive. Thursday last week I would have been a dead person, but God saved my life from a road accident. I give Him all the glory. I also thank all my friends, colleagues both from far and near that came to celebrate my golden year. May the good Lord bless all of them,” he prayed.

Enyinna also showered praises on his wife, describing her as “my backbone.
