Covenant Making
“Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with sword and divers also of the princes of Israel. And he walked in all the ways of the king of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord. Howbeit the Lord would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons forever”. 2 Chronicles 21 v 4, 6 & 7.

Most believers I know in Africa spend their entire life battling to get free from demonic covenants made by their ancestors. They never come into the place of entering into godly covenants for their own offspring. God is the originator of covenant making. Satan came along afterward and stole covenant making from God. The real Being we are supposed to make covenant with is God and not the devil. All covenants are enacted via dedications.

“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” Psalms 50:5
You Must Endeavour To Build A Godly Covenant Of Positive Impact For Succeeding Generations
Text 2 Chronicles 21 v 4-7 tells us that although Jehoram was very wicked, a mass murderer and idolater, the Lord refused to destroy him because of the covenant he had made with David. Jehoram was the seventh generation from David. But the covenant David had with God was still valid.

David succeeded in handing over a godly legacy
How did this happen? David vowed to raise up an altar of worship to the Most High God. “And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest roundabout from all his enemies. That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, “See now I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.” 2 Samuel 7 v 1, 2.

David raised up an altar by building a house for God. The Word of the Lord came back to him from Nathan the prophet:
“Shalt thou build me a house for me to dwell in?…the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee…and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever…my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.” 2 Samuel 7 v 5, 12 – 15

David built God a house and God built an everlasting dynasty for him by covenant. Dedications Are All About Covenant Making. Most Ministers of the Gospel Fail to Realise This. They Are More Caught Up with Ceremonial Rituals and Fail to Lead the People into Strong Covenant with God.Rev.
