Prophetic praying is praying with the Scriptures, in faith, under the Holy Spirit’s inspiration. To this end, God says: “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. – Luke 21:15. In other words, God was saying I am giving you a gun already loaded with bullets inside.

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” The tongue of man is the major launching pad of God’s weapon of war, ‘’And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword…” Isaiah 49:2. The mouth is a formidable weapon itself.

“And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people”. –Isaiah 51:16

Consider also Zechariah 1:6 “But my words and my statues…did they not take hold of your fathers?” We are told here that the Word of God has the ability to take hold of people. It has the ability to take hold of governments, kings of the earth, men, women, churches, demons, devils, jurisdictions and areas. Jesus spoke only three words at the tomb of Lazarus “Lazarus come forth.” Those words travelled beyond this world into the world beyond and took hold of Lazarus.

Prophetic praying is very powerful. It can change laws and cancel wrong political decisions. It does not matter how impossible it might appear. Prophetic praying transcends nations and national policies. God said to Jeremiah.

“ …Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth: See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” – Jeremiah 1:9-10.I repeat that the mouth is the major launching pad of all of God’s missiles. When you open your mouth, missiles like bolts of fire are released upon the enemy. “I will make my words in your mouth fire…” says the Lord.

In prophetic praying, we give voice to the Word of God, and God always watches over His Word to perform it- (Jeremiah 1:12). His Word cannot go out and return void, it must accomplish the purpose for which it is sent (Isaiah 55:11). God confirms the words of his servant and performs the counsel of His messengers (Isaiah 44:26).

Conventional prayers at best merely cut off the branches, leaving the root still intact to thrive and grow again. In prophetic praying, the angels are programmed to respond, because they are programmed to respond to God’s word. “Bless the Lord, you his angels, who excel in STRENGTH, WHO DO HIS WORD, HEEDING THE VOICE OF HIS WORD.” – Psalms 103:20 (NKJV) As you begin to make use of the Lord’s armoury, may you do so with the full understanding of the power of prophetic praying and prophetic actions in Jesus Name.

The Power Of Prophetic Utterance
By this, we refer to prophetic announcement, declarations and pronouncements. One cannot undermine the importance of this. EVERYTHING YOU SEE WITH YOUR EYES CAME BY ANNOUNCEMENTS.

In Genesis chapter 1, we read in verse 3, “AND GOD SAID. Let there be light and there was light”. Verse 6 “AND GOD SAID let there be firmament” (land). Verse 11 “And GOD SAID, let THE EARTH BRING FORTH grass…herbs…fruit…” verse 14: “AND GOD SAID. Let there be lights…the stars” (including the sun and moon). Verse 20; “AND GOD SAID. Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly…” Hence fishes, birds came into existence verse 24; “AND GOD SAID, Let they earth bring forth the living creature…” Hence animal life came forth. Verse 26: “AND GOD SAID. Let us make man…” And man came forth.

I want you to catch the first principle of the life: Without announcement, many things cannot come into being. Most of the things that you see with your eyes came into being by announcement. God Himself operated by these principles.

Every gathering, be it a church, family, community meeting, takes places by announcement. Every seat of authority is instituted by announcement. You don’t just wake up and climb the seat of the Presidency. You campaign, contest and if you win, the qualified agencies will announce it. In Nigeria, Abiola failed because the qualified agencies refused to announce him, even though he won the election. Even if there is a coup in the country, the first thing everybody expects to hear is the official announcement as to who the new Head of State is.
I urge you to prophesy whatever you want to see in your life according to the scripture.
