Gates – Part 2

Behind most gates lie riches and treasures. Isaiah 45v3. When Cyrus broke through the gates of brass, the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places were captured. Note: Nahum 2v6 & 9. “The gates of rivers shall be opened and the palaces dissolved. Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold. For there is no end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.”
Open Gates: Our Birthright

“Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have Holden to subdue na­tions before him; and I will loose the loins of Kings, to open before him the two leaved GATES; and the GATES shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked place straight: I will break in pieces the GATES OF BRASS, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.” – Isaiah 45v1–2

Before Cyrus was born, this prophecy had been written about him. God called him by name and declared him a “gate-opener” before he came into being. In other words, he was born to open gates. What was true of Cyrus is also true of you. You were born to open gates.

Do you know that before you could penetrate and enter into this world, there was a closed gate that you had to grapple with? It was the cervix of your mother’s womb. You may not know what you have al­ready overcome. But suffice it to say that many never make it alive through this gate. This is be­cause the devil himself attacks every unborn child. See Exodus 1v15, 22 and Matthew 2v16.

The spirits of Pharaoh and Herod pursue these babies, even as foetus, causing miscar­riages and termination of life. They go about this in several ways. One way is by hardening the hearts of the legitimate parent(s) of the child to do away with that life through abortion. This is murder. It is shedding of blood, which the perpetrators are guilty of. Those involved in this sinister act must repent and come over to Jesus. He will forgive.

Some mothers can also have miscarriages and lose their babies acci­dentally, for example, when the woman hits her abdomen on a hard object. The devil may also attack a woman directly with multiple sicknesses, hunger and malnutrition all in a bid to hinder that child from coming forth.

Indeed, he can even enter through argument and provocative acts between the concerned couple. I have actually handled a case involving a Christian brother, who punched his pregnant wife in the stomach, thus terminating the pregnancy. When the blood started flowing from the wife, he suddenly regained his senses. This is a man who had never beaten his wife before. He confessed that he did not know what came over him. The devil was at work. Satan also attacks unborn children through sa­tanic agents and witchcraft. A woman may over­come all attacks only for Satan to rise up on the D-day being the day of delivery.

Many babies die right at the ‘gate’, through pro­longed labour, exhaustion or weakness, as they struggle to come out. Some babies get choked at the cervix or pelvis. Others die by strangulation from the umbilical cord, when it wraps itself around their necks. Some die through pre-emclamsia – a condition where the mother becomes unconscious through hypertension, thus render­ing her incapable of pushing out the baby.

Perhaps, you are now beginning to see the battle you passed through, just to be able to open the first gate in your life. Opening gates is your birth­right. I thank God for you. You are already a success. For at the fullness of time, you said ‘I can’t stay in this womb any longer. I must enter my world. I must step into the next phase of my life.’ And you made it. Con­gratulations! You came into this world by open­ing a gate. Therefore, you shall open gates!

You came forth through that first gate crying. Once the gate opened, the crying was turned into jubilation and thereafter celebration. You may be crying today. But by the time you finish this series, gates over your life shall open and your crying shall turn into laughter.

Have you ever heard the cry of a newborn baby? It is so captivating and passionate. It wants everybody to know “I’m around.” I declare to you, men shall know you are around. Inasmuch as the devil could not stop you at the point of delivery, he cannot stop you now. You were born to open gates. And that you shall do in Jesus name, Amen.
