God shall remember you in this year 2020

In our opening passage, God remembered Noah, for there had been calamity in the previous chapter. God wanted to destroy the earth and He told Noah to build an ark.

Genesis 8:1: ‘And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.’

In our opening passage, God remembered Noah, for there had been calamity in the previous chapter. God wanted to destroy the earth and He told Noah to build an ark.

So Noah told the people about God’s plan to destroy the earth, but they ignored and mocked him. So, it rained on the earth for 150 days non-stop. But God remembered Noah and stopped the rain. I don’t know what kind of flood you’ve been consumed with. Is it flood of poverty, sickness or barrenness? If you can follow divine instructions, God will remember you.

Let’s take a look at the story of Rachael.

Genesis 30:1,22-24: “And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die. (22) And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. (23) And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach: (24) And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

Here are a few things to notice about God remembering Rachael here in our text.
When God remembered her, He miraculously turned this barren woman into a mother. He removed her reproach; made it clear that even if she had been delayed, she had not been forgotten.
Man may forget their word and abandon their promises…but God will never. When He remembers you, He focuses His attention on you and you’ll begin to see results.

Don’t you give up, for He has remembered you, and He’s already working on your future to give both the things you asked for and the ones you never asked for. You’ll look back and you’ll see that He has been planting blessings upon blessings for you.

I want you to know that God remembers. He remembers His words and all of His promises towards you. He honours His words more than His name. God’s Word is the only sure thing, so don’t give up.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever, for it is surer than the ground you walk upon.
So, if you hold on to His word, He will surely remember you this year 2020.
