The Secretary, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State and Prelate, Motalaitu Church, Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, His Eminence, Dr. Israel Akinadewo has called on church leaders to drop their ambitions and emulate Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church by focusing on assisting the less privileged in the society.

The CAN Secretary, who made the call in Lagos, during the launch of his book entitled: “Daily Contact With God” (DCWG), said: “There is need to take care of the body of Christ. The government cannot do everything and we should stop criticising those in authority.

“God’s people should rise up to help the needy, starting from those among them and I believe the Church can help to reform the society. When the less privileged are taken care of, the society would be the better for it.”

On why the book was written, Akinadewo said it was to encourage people to walk on the right path with God, so that the nation would be what God wants it to be.
