Cleric tasks church leaders on holiness, evangelism
A renowned international evangelist, Joshua Adegboyega has called on the leadership of various churches to immediately embark on sound gospel, preaching with serious emphasis on repentance, true conversion, sanctification and essence of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.
The Cleric, who gave this admonition while delivering his address at the 53rd year ministry thanksgiving of Love of God Evangelistic Association Inc. in Lagos, reminded Christians and church leaders that God would not reward His servants for building large congregation, majority of whose members are unsanctified, worldly prosperity seekers.
He said: “A.W. Tozer declared, “God is not interested in multitude of worshippers that are not committed to godliness and true discipleship. He expects the Church to prioritise evangelism over the building of great cathedrals.
“Nigeria has become the gospel power capital of the world, as I saw in a banner released over Nigeria.”
The cleric, who also assured that God has revealed that He would heal Nigeria, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to do all possible within his power to stop the Jihad style of killing in the North and rescue Leah Sharibu from the Boko Haram sect.
Adegboyega, who said political parties have failed Nigeria, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) that came like a beacon of hope and for which it owes Nigerians an apology for not fulfilling its promises, advised the Council of states to look into the necessity and possibility of breaking from deceptive, superficial democracy, which has given no hope to Nigeria and make way for a non-political government of National Redemption that is based on recommendations of past national conferences to meet Nigerians’ aspirations and expectations. He gave this assurance during a seven-fold deliverance for Nigeria, to begin in Calabar and six other zones of the country.
