Emotionally crippled people

Imagine Mephibosheth and what he said when David sent for him. The greatest problem with him was not that he was physically disabled. It was that he was emotionally crippled. His mind was sick. Who are the people with sick minds? They are those who think so much about themselves and things that concern their families. They think and think on these things and are sad. They cry. Easily get hurt. They cannot enjoy life this way. Know that God loves you and He created you because He has other people’s problems in mind. Think of others and solve their problems.

Most times people that are emotionally crippled are either those that are depressed as a result of lack of job, lack of money, single ladies of marriageable age seeking for life partners, among others. They get so depressed that they think of themselves on how/who will give them jobs, money or life partners. People who have inferiority or superiority complex also fall into the class of emotionally crippled people. They are either never happy or make others small in order to feel big.

See how you can be of help to other people. Visit motherless baby’s homes, old people’s home or even visit sick people in the hospital to encourage them and to pray with them.

Think of others and God will think of you.

Think less of your problems and think more of other people’s problems. Know that thinking negatively of your problems cannot move the hand of God. Instead make things happen for others what you want them to make happen to you. If you are of full-blown age and not married, genuinely force your spirit to rejoice and help those who are getting married.
