The only voice your future should hear is the voice of your seed. You must not build your life on negative words (seed is sown into your life); what you hear matters. In Mark 4:9 Jesus says, if any man will hear, let him hear because you have a choice in what you hear and what you should hear or should not hear.

John 11 is a beautiful narration of the death and the raising of Lazarus back to life. While Jesus said in John 11:4, ‘… I go that I may wake him out of sleep, verse 11 and verses 14-15, Thomas heard a different thing. Jesus didn’t tell them, ‘let us go and die’ surprisingly, that was what Thomas heard. You have a choice on what you hear and you become what you hear.

And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Mark 4:9

There are words you heard but you didn’t really hear it and there are words that you heard and you really heard them. The words you really heard are the ones that produced results in your life whether negative or positive. It was assimilated and mixed with faith to produce expected results.

In Mark 5:35, Jesus heard the bad news the ruler’s servant came to give the ruler of the Synagogue;

While he is yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? Mark 5:35

In Mark 5, a ruler of the synagogue Jairus came to Jesus to come to pray for his daughter so she might live.

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. Mark 5:23

And while they were talking, a ‘certain’ man that had no name came with the bad news.

While he is yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? Mark 5:35

But though Jesus heard the man, He didn’t hear him, neither did He give him attention. There are things you heard that are not worth your time or attention, ignore it. By his response in verse 36, you discover that Jesus did not hear him, rather He focused on the issue and the Centurion than the distraction.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. Mark 5:36

That ‘certain’ man came to sow a wrong seed to kill the man’s faith: he came to sow a seed of doubt and unbelief but Jesus knew better. It is not everyone who speaks to you that you must respond to. He literally ignored the messenger of doom, a person who would have stopped the hand and manifestation of God.

There are people who when they speak you must ignore because their aim is to destroy your seed. The only voice you should hear is the voice of God to your purpose. You must mind what you hear.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

Faith comes by constant hearing of the right words and fear comes by constant hearing of the wrong words. What you do with the right words matter. You can either run with the words you hear or be crippled by it.
