Gates – Part 8

Rev. Theodore Effiong

The Gates Of The Rivers: Rivers form natural gateways into many cities of the world. However, beyond the natural gate¬ways are spiritual gateways.

Cities that dwell by rivers suffer from attacks on prosperity. For one to reverse this, the Bible says the gates of the rivers must first be opened. Thereafter, the palaces inside the waters shall dissolve. This is spiritual warfare at the highest level. It is only when this has been done that you can now order the transfer of the wealth of that city back from the waters onto the land, from the spiritual realm back unto the physical realm.

When this is done, companies and businesses will spring up in the land. Buildings of great beauty will be erected all over the place.

“The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palaces dissolved. Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is no end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furni¬ture.” – Nahum 2 v 6 & 9.

Global Gates: The greater battle for the Church of this genera¬tion shall be the battle against the global gates. Yet, very few Christians understand this aspect of warfare at all.

We often hear that the world is “a global vil¬lage.” We have global financial markets running our economies. We simultaneously eat and drink the same thing, wear the same clothes, drive the same cars, watch the same entertainment with millions across the globe at the same time.

With the advent of mobile phones, we can now communicate more easily with people anywhere in the world. Also, through the internet, we can gather information from any corner of the world. We simultaneously face the same global crisis such as global warming, AIDS, terrorism and glo¬bal economic recession. Hence global multi-na¬tional agencies have been set up to combat these evils. The result of all this is that power is rap¬idly being transferred from nations, states and countries to international players. Nations, states and countries are increasingly becoming ruled and governed by this emerging global system.

As has already been said in Bible days, the gate was a place where the elders of the city met to take decisions and settle disputes. The decisions made at the gate affected the lives and destinies of those under the authority of these policy-makers whom the Bible calls elders.

Strong spiritual forces also gather at these gates so as to take control of lives and the destinies of entire nations. Some of the major global gates are the United Nations (U.N), the G8 (this is the gathering of the eight most powerful nations in the world), the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (I.M.F), and the World Court, e.t.c.

It is inside these global gates that nations gather together to form an agreed agenda on all aspects of human interaction to establish common stan¬dards and values for all humanity. It is in these global gates that many ungodly poli¬cies are formulated. Similar institutions at na¬tional level also promote abortion on demand, the weakening of parental rights over their chil¬dren, and same sex marriages.

In the religious sphere, the unity of all faiths and religions is being encouraged. In fact, there is an agenda for all religions to become one. There is also an agenda for those who speak out against the decision of the global gates to be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned for religious crimes. This is already happening in many nations of the world.

Global gates like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (I.M.F) have behind them the power not only to enforce these laws on nations but also have the power to withdraw financial aid and support from the na¬tions that refuse to toe their line.

What is happening is that the whole world is entering into a high level of unrighteousness such as has never been witnessed by humanity. The Church needs to arise from its spiritual stu¬por to pray earnestly against the satanic agenda of these global gates. In Nigeria, the control of our nation is no longer in the hands of our Presi¬dent and the Government but in the hands of Global institutions. A nation like Nigeria that has taken so many loans from the World Bank and the I.M.F. is a mere puppet in the hands of these global masters.

The Church needs to pray for God to raise up godly advisers and elders into these global gates. We need to pray that God should frustrate the counsel of every Ahithophel standing in the glo¬bal gate. 2 Samuel 15 v 31.God can turn any situation around by changing the advisers. When Haman was replaced by Mordecai, things once more went well for the Jews in Medo-Persia. Pray, therefore, for godly advisers to be appointed and ungodly ones re¬moved.
