Happy New Year to you once again and welcome to a new week!
The book of Genesis introduces a man named Joseph. He was known to be a diligent worker in every situation he found himself. Though he was sold into slavery to a government official in another nation, he remained diligent till he was eventually given the responsibility of taking charge of the entire household and other slaves. He was unlawfully put in prison, yet he remained faithful till he was given charge overall the other prisoners. Joseph remained faithful in favourable and unfavourable circumstances. Eventually, he became the Prime Minister of Egypt – administering the most powerful nation during that time.

When you are consistent and faithful in your daily affairs, you are making deposits in your future success account. Being faithful is not a function of circumstances or the weather; it’s a conscious decision to do the right thing, when no one is watching or even when it’s not “necessary” for you to do so.

Greatness is a journey of responsibility, but how can we be given greater responsibilities, if we are not faithful in the little things? Greatness magnifies our strengths or weaknesses, and if greatness is thrust on a person suddenly, he can only give what he has. Let us prepare for the day, when the grand opportunity would show up.

Sometimes, people look down on days of little beginnings not realising that inside the little lies the great. When God shows you a very big future, you get to see the end, and not the process. The process always begins with a seed; a seed represents the beginning. God will open up small opportunities for you, but the way you handle them would determine how successful you would be, when the big opportunity shows up.

Greatness Is Not A Mystery
There is no mystery about the future; the multiplication of today’s seed makes way for the manifestation of greatness. God wanted an earth filled with people; so He created the seeds in the form of man and woman (Adam and Eve). As they reproduced, the earth became populated. Today creates tomorrow and today’s opportunity, well handled, creates a beautiful future. Where are you in your job, church or career today? Perhaps it seems little compared to your dream. Do not despair; see your current location or status as a God-given opportunity. Do it excellently – be punctual, be honest, be faithful, knowing that a man will reap whatever he sows. Our daily deeds are prophecies. They provide direction as to where we will be in the future. Ensure that you make daily deposits into your future success account.

God is purpose-driven and everyday; He is committed to your welfare and your success, as long as you’re His child. You need to play your part. Remember, inside the little lies the great.

After Thoughts: “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” Psalm 68:19 KJV.

Every day is loaded with benefits for every believer. What has been set before you? What work are you doing? Which relationships are around you? Nurture these and you will be well prepared to handle the greatness that is coming your way. 2017 is just beginning; make each day count – you will succeed!
