Text: Psalms 83:14
Having completed the 21-day yearly fasting and prayer in Kingdom Power, the next line of action for participants is to conserve the fire acquired during the programme. There must be earnest volition to preserve the fire at all cost. Spiritual Domestic Accident abounds. It is an accident that is capable of bringing man down. This was the accident that struck Adam and reduced him to an ordinary dust. This accident messed up man and brought a curse to man. It made him to eat sorrow and suffer before he eats. It took the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ to restore man.

Domestic accident has caused many problems to individuals and families alike. It has rendered families devastated. Amnon, the son of King David, fell victim of domestic accident. He defiled his sister and eventually lost his life. Esau sold his birthright at the altar of hunger. He sought it by all means, even with tears, but could not get it. Domestic accident fears no family or individual. It comes like a loving caring people with assurances of security and safety. Only clever, wise and careful Christians can overcome.

Retrospectively, the serpent came with all subtlety and deceived Adam and Eve. By way of analysis, Adam allowed the serpent into his house. He listened to his lies and falsehood. The serpent twisted God’s Word and made nonsense of it before Adam and Eve. The devil, who is called the serpent, embellished the lies and sold it to them. Adam lost all he had and put the entire humanity into problems. Eve was the arrowhead in the whole scenario. She played a superlative role in allowing the serpent into her house in her husband’s absence. Adam suffered the consequences because he was not man enough to resist the wife’s temptation.

Pharaoh was a serpent that sapped the Israelites. He is a good example of God’s enemy. He stood against God’s Word with his men. He did not live to tell the story. He perished in the Red Sea.

Every true child of God should be wary of the subtlety of the agents of devil that stylishly creeps into the house of the gullible to deceive. They come like the serpent and paint bad pictures of God’s Word. They bite the fingers that feed them and lead their victims astray to strange places of worship. The caution from God’s Word is to avoid such people. On no account should a real child of God entertain such individuals into his house. The Lord cautions that believers should not bid such people ‘God speed,’ so as not to partake in their sins. Don’t allow anybody cause you to derail from the Word of truth!

In these 21 days of fasting and prayer, the Lord has finished His work in us in Kingdom Power. He ignited the fire of holiness to the highest degree and expects the fire to burn ceaselessly. However, there are some careless moments that are capable of quenching the fire of holiness. Absence from fellowship with brethren in the house of God can quench the fire of holiness. Prayer is a veritable weapon in sustaining the fire of holiness in one’s life. In fact, prayer is a panacea to spiritual weakness! The power of prayer cannot be over-emphasised; it keeps a believer radiating in the spirit realm.

This fire of holiness must burn every day, if you want to retain God’s presence with you. If you want to retain your place in Christ, the fire of holiness must burn at all times. If you want to retain constant victory in Christ, the fire of holiness must burn in your life. If you want to recover your losses, the fire of holiness must be kept on burning.
