(amp) 1 peter 5:7 “casting the whole of your care, all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on him, for he cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully”. philippians 4:4-6 “rejoice in the lord always, delight, gladden yourselves in him, again i say, rejoice! do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, definite requests with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to god”.

There are three (triplets) forces that are arousing everyone’s attention today. Without any invitation, these three forces infiltrate and knock on the door of our minds and lives in the morning, afternoon, evening and even when we are on our beds. Worry, anxiety and hypertension are the three forces vegetating the lives of people of this generation. The effects of worry, anxiety and hypertension are quite disturbing, with the negative results of stroke, heart attacks and even death. The casualty figures globally are quite alarming.

It is amazing how so many young men and women are so over-stressed that they are now having grey hairs in their early 30s. Worry and anxiety is a state of emotional unrest and apprehension about issues and challenges of life. People are anxious because of personal, national and global issues, bordering on human wellbeing, finances, family, security, sustenance, peace, career and future, among others.

We become anxious, when we are confronted with the facts of uncertainties disseminated from global newsreel, medical reports, terrorism, economic recession, global food crisis, insecurity, unemployment etc. in Matthew 6:26-27, JESUS the LORD shows us the FUTILITY AND THE STUPIDITY of worry and anxiety. “Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns and yet YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KEEPS FEEDING THEM. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure, cubit to his stature or to the span of his life?” (AMP).

Worry and anxiety do not solve our problems, because our sleepless nights do not add value in solving our challenges. Worry aggravates and exacerbates our predicaments without solution. God tells us what to do with our worry, anxiety and challenges. We are to do this ONCE AND FOR ALL by faith, trusting in the LORD from Whom our help would always come.

Psalm 55:22 “CAST THY BURDEN UPON the LORD, and He shall SUSTAIN THEE: He shall NEVER SUFFER THE RIGHTEOUS to be moved”. No matter who you are, all of us will always be confronted with life issues and problems and this is where our faith in God will always be required, for the just will live by faith. So, today, no matter what is confronting you and I, we are TO CAST, ROLL, TAKE OUR PROBLEMS TO GOD and He promised to deliver us. Psalm 50:15 “AND CALL UPON ME IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE: I will DELIVER THEE, and thou shalt glorify Me”.

We are expected to turn our WORRY TO WORSHIP. When you worry, you cannot adequately worship God. The time spent in worrying should be re-directed to praying to God with our definite requests. We must not allow the issues of life drive us crazy. Kill worry, anxiety and every apprehension with prayer, worship and thanksgiving, which remain the powerful antidote against worry and anxiety.

JESUS, the LORD of the Universe promises the Sinner and Saints alike in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto Me, ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, and I will give you REST”. You must kill worry before it kills you. You will live long, strong and young by trusting the LORD DAILY with your challenges. 1 Peter 5:7 “CASTING ALL YOUR CARE upon Him; for HE CARETH FOR YOU”.

PRAYER: Father God, I thank You for the privilege of trusting You with my worries, concerns and challenges. Today, I roll ALL my worries, anxiety, apprehension and burden upon You in the Name of JESUS. I refuse to fret or worry. I know Father that You handle perfectly whatever I roll on You. I trust and praise You for Your intervention.
