Text: Deut 28:1 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments, which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.”

Message

Obedience is the key that opens all doors. Our freedom begins when we respond to the love of God. When we grasp an understanding of the blessings of obedience, we find them utterly astonishing.

Because of His great love, God has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him and free from our bondage to sin.

Obedience is not a positive word these days. For it seems cold and harsh. But how many of us have stopped to think that our act of disobedience may be keeping us from one of the great keys to the enjoyment of God and the transformation of our lives.

John 15:14 says, “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”

If we walk in obedience, it brings in good communication between God and man. Whosoever is obedient to God, he is a friend of God.

Obedience is the key to prosperity. If you are looking for a miracle in your life, make sure you are sowing seeds of obedience, because the Lord has promised us that if we do so in patience, confidence and trust in Him, we will eventually reap (Galatians 6:9).

Sometimes, when things are not working out the way we think they should, or we are not receiving the answers to our prayers quickly as we would like, we get the idea.

“Well, since God is not doing anything, why should I be obedient, if it isn’t producing results?” In such times, we must realise that God is always working.

John 14:15 says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

As a child of the Heavenly Father, whose love abides in our heart, I beseech us to be obedient in all areas of our lives.

Disobedience destroys human relationship with God. The genesis of God’s Word and His mercy for humanity rests on obedience. Obedience leads to blessing and greatness in life.

Devil, our adversary, will definitely be a hindrance in human’s lives in order to disobey God, but with the leading of the Spirit and not human reasoning, obedience to God must be our priority.

I pray that the grace to be obedient to God shall be upon us in Jesus name.
