Prayer of agreement – Part 4
Great power is manifested, when people pray in agreement. Prayer of agreement puts the devil to flight and uproot from its foundation anything that was not planted by God in your life. It shakes problems from its root and brings total restoration and healing to the people. The Bible said the place where the apostles assembled together to pray was shaken (Acts 4:31). As you get involved in praying in agreement, the challenges that you are facing in your work, marriage, career and family will melt at the altar of prayers. When something is shaken, it reveals the hidden things you do not know. I pray for you today that God will expose the root of your problems, as you pray in agreement in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Prayer of agreement produces great power, which in turn produces great conversion of souls. Great multitudes were converted after the apostles assembled together and prayed (Acts 4:32). The power of God that was made available as a result of their prayer of agreement gave them unusual boldness to witness for Christ and multitudes were converted. You will experience supernatural church growth, as you gather in your church to pray in agreement. Prayer of agreement produces multiple effects much more than individual prayers.
When people come in agreement, it results in death to selfish ambitions and leads to corporate success. Agreement makes people see themselves as one people with common purpose, which in turn results in synergy and pulling of resources together to pursue a common goal. Why you see some people from time to time not contributing to the growth of the church, family, association and organisation, which they belong to, is because they haven’t seen themselves as one people. The Bible said the multitude of people that were converted by the apostles were of one heart and one soul: none of them considered his personal possessions as his own, but they shared everything they had with one another (Acts 4:32).
When people come together in agreement, it produces wealth to be enjoyed by all and terminates hardship. The Bible said neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the money of the things that were sold (Acts 4:34). The benefits of partnership in business cannot be over-emphasised and one of its benefits is there is opportunity for income splitting, an advantage of particular importance due to resultant tax savings. It is said, “Two heads (or more) are better than one.” The Bible said two are better than one, because they will have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
One of the major disadvantages of partnership is the risk of disagreement and friction, but we are better and stronger together. Therefore, let us get rid of the things that divide and tear us apart. I like the way the “Message Bible” puts Philippians 2:4. It said, “Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.” To be “obsessed” is to preoccupy or fill the mind of continually getting your own advantage over your brother, sister, wife, husband, business partner and friend.
Learn to consider others above yourself. Bible said, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3).
Today’s Nugget: We are stronger and better together.
