There is always a stipulated penalty for a perpetrator in every wrongdoing or wicked act, no matter how small. Whether it is committed in secret or in the open, as long as it is not repented of, the deed will surely be punished. Anybody who is in any form of sin or wickedness must reap whatsoever he/she sows. Prov. 11:21 says: “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.”

No power can exempt sinners from punishment. Even though they are in league to propagate wickedness and are resolved to continue in disobedience, they will not be sparred the punishment of God. Never! It is as it happened in the days of Noah when the world was filled with ungodly men and the flood destroyed them. Their number and strength and accord in sin could not save them in the day of God’s vengeance.

Nobody who lives and dies in wickedness will be in heaven. The wicked, sinners and unbelievers will eventually find themselves in hell fire, regardless of their status, how many years, they live or how wealthy they are. The time lag and position given to them are to enable them repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. Any man or woman who refuses to accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God is wicked.

Job 14:4 says: “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?” Man, as the descendant of Adam, is unclean from birth and is presumed wicked until he accepts Christ who came to redeem him. As long as he has not accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died to save mankind from sins, no good thing can come from him. As long as one is yet to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, such, irrespective of the good work he or she does in the society remains a wicked person. The reason is: the individual still possesses the disobedient nature of Adam.

The wicked have their reward waiting at the end of life. A place is prepared for evildoers and their portion is hell where they will gnash their teeth forever. Isaiah 3:11 says: “Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” Any man who harbours sin in his heart and does that which is wicked shall receive what he rightly deserves. He shall be paid for his sinful labour and his reward shall be proportional to his work. Let not the sinner presume that because sentence for his evil works is not executed speedily, he is, therefore, suffered to go on to his hundredth transgression. God has not forgotten; the wicked shall surely be punished.

Ecc. 8:13 says: “But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.” Psalm 34:21 adds: “Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.”

The wickedness of the wicked shall turn to his destruction. That is his enterprise and shall, therefore, be his reward.
