
Others were: International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio (MMI), Akparawa James Edet; President of Akwa Ibom Clergy Forum (AICLEF), Pastor Joseph Emmanuel; President of Akwa Ibom State Community (AKISCOM), Lagos, Dr. EdetAmbang; among others.
The people used the avenue to commiserate with the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno over the demise of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Uno, who died after a brief illness.
Speaking on the theme: “Strengthen To Know Him,” taken from Ephesians 6:10, the former Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel, said God is the only source of total victory over life and nation’s challenges.
Calling on Christian faithful in Nigeria to continually put their hope and strengthen their trust in Him, Emmanuel said God would reward His children more than their desire, as well as change their situation and heal their land if they humble themselves, serve Him wholeheartedly and live a holy life.
He said: “When we say, men-unity, unity-action and action-men, it should not only be in words, but also in action. This year’s theme of the rally is about choice, therefore, men as a matter of fact, should make good choices in life, so that, they will see the manifestation of God’s power, protection, glory, love, favour and blessings in your lives.”
In his address, President of the Central Men’s Fellowship of UEC, Elder Imeh Etuk, enjoined faithful, particularly men, to lean on God to be empowered to surmount life’s challenges.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the Superintendent of Lagos Township Superintendency of the Church, Rev.Idorenyin James, called on men to always exhibit good actions and virtues that are worthy of emulation in all they do for a better society.
Also in their separate remarks, congregational pastor of the Surulere Assembly of the Church and Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Rally, Rev. Samuel Iwok and Elder ImohOkon, urged the men to live up to their responsibilities, as good ambassadors of Christ.
Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of awards to individuals who have meaningfully contributed to the wellbeing of the church and Christianity among whom was the former Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel, who got the God’s Ambassador award.
