It is written of me – Part 4

And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established forever, 2 Samuel 7:16

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me.

It shall be established forever and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. Psalms 89:34-37
The different prophets in the Old Testament fulfilled their mandates, those called unto Israel and those called unto Judah. Life is about making a difference. You cannot make a difference without believing in your uniqueness. Be who you are and don’t try to be somebody else.

Apostle Paul said: For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God, I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God, which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. 2 Corinthians 15:9-11

By the grace of God, I am who I am. Paul was not intimidated by the other apostles. He located his assignment, he ran with it and he fulfilled it. He was distinguished, honoured, and celebrated in his calling.

Whereunto I have ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not 😉 a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 1 Timothy 2:7

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. Roman 1:15

It is your mandate that distinguishes you. Your relevance in society, the honour that you will enjoy, and the celebration of your life are in your mandate. This is the reason why you are planted on the planet earth, nothing more.

The Olive Tree and Its Mandate

Every creation of God is breathtaking, all created with a purpose.

The heaven declares the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. Psalm 19:1 God at different times likened man to trees.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:1-3)

He shall be like a tree that is planted. A tree that is planted is one that is nurtured, trimmed to grow according to its purpose. It is amazing to know that even the trees have their different mandates.
