Positioned for result in 2019
That is, to the next level. You cannot remain stagnant while others make progress. You will no longer stand at ease, it is FORWARD MARCH.
What is a result?
A result is a positive or favourable outcome for someone. From Luke 19:1-7, the Bible talked about a man called Zaccheus, who was looking for a way out of his troubles, shame and lifestyle, even though he was rich.
One day, he heard that Jesus had entered into Jericho, and he wanted to see Jesus.
The Bible says he sought to know who Jesus was. You cannot discover who Jesus is and still remain the same.
When you discover Jesus, something must change in your life. A lot of people are like Zaccheus. They are rich but not happy, neither are they fulfilled.
If you must be fulfilled in 2019, you must know who Jesus is. When you discover who He is, you will serve Him differently. Phil 3: 10.
Zaccheus was looking for a way to meet Jesus and people were many. Also, he was of a little stature, so he had to climb on a Sycamore tree. Jesus saw that Zaccheus was looking at Him from the tree, so He came to him and called out to him.
If you seek God diligently, you will find Him. God can bypass a lot of people to get to you; He doesn’t look at your age or your educational background. Once your heart is right, He will favour you. Roman 9:15.
He shows mercy to whom He will. And when it’s time for God to show you mercy, many people will be over taken. He can bypass all the educated people in your family or at your place of work to get to you.
Jesus chose to visit Zaccheus, because he was rightly positioned and this changed his life.
How to position yourself for God’s visitation
• Get committed and connected to Jesus. Ask yourself, ‘what role do I play in church? What is my contribution to the body of Christ? Even if you don’t have cash to donate, you can set days aside to render services in church like sweeping the church, cleaning the chairs, fans, toilets and so on. And as you do this, you can tie a need to it. You can say “Oh Lord, as I do this in your house, bless the work of my hands.”
• Don’t joke with your tithes and offerings. Malachi3: 8-10. You are robbing God if you don’t pay your tithes and offerings. When you pay your tithes and offerings, you won’t experience the devourer.
Devourer can come in any form, like stagnancy, failure at the peak of success, sickness, miscarriages, rising and falling of business and so on.
Some people spend money on themselves more than what they give to God. Don’t deceive yourself, it is shameful for a child of God to beg and that is why I’m teaching you how not to.
John14: 4-6, Abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except you abide in me…verse 6 says if you do not abide in me, you will be a cast away.
Connect yourself to Jesus if you don’t want to be a cast away. If you are a cast away, you are as good as dead. Don’t be a victim of what can be avoided. Mistakes can be avoided, and tears can be averted.
You have to also study the word of God, know the word for yourself because when you do, you will be able to apply it rightly and no one can deceive you or tell you what is not, not even the devil. You won’t be tossed to and fro by what people tell you.
No false prophet or false teacher can deceive you with what they didn’t see. You won’t start buying things for sacrifice because no other sacrifice can be made except that which has been made on the Cross of Calvary.
Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, so we don’t need to sacrifice anything. So, let the word of God dwell in you richly in this year 2019.
Study the word, hear the word and do what the word says. Devote your time to God. Don’t continue on the rough life you lived last year no matter the pressure. 2Cor5: 17… old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.
If you are rightly positioned for result, God will visit you. God will create opportunities for you to prosper. He will give you new ideas. Don’t abuse or neglect them. Use them rightly to the glory of His name. God bless you.
