Prosmabel Schools hold Inter-house Sports

Chairman/Director, Prosmabel Group of Schools, Chief Iweriebor O. Emmanuel, has called on parents to encourage their children to engage in sports and games, as such activities help pupils to improve in their studies.

Speaking at the school’s 2019 inter-house sports competition, Emmanuel said through participating in school sports and games, pupils are likely to hone their skills and make a living, when they become adults.

He disclosed that the school has been positioned to meet people’s yearnings for knowledge, academic excellence, as well as produce pupils/students of great academic and moral standards, capable of leading the country in future.

He noted that the pupils/students have to engage in sporting activities as a way of instilling the spirit of healthy competition, sportsmanship and making new friends.

He said: “All work and no play makes Jack/Jill a dull boy/girl. So, sporting activities ginger participants to be physically, mentally and socially up and doing.”

The event witnessed the children showcasing diverse skills in March Past, choreography and tracks and field.

Starting with a March Past, Yellow House, with its glamorous style and display came tops, pushing Green, Red and Blue Houses to second, third and fourth positions respectively.

In an attempt to win the school’s coveted laurel, each House presented a well-orchestrated choreography, which drew ovations from parents and guests.

Based on its excellent performance, Red House went home with the golden cup, while Blue and Green Houses went away with many silver and bronze medals.
