Repent ye therefore and be converted

Think of a beautiful white garment prepared for wearing to an event. However, either through carelessness or forgetfulness, it got tainted with spots everywhere.

Think of a beautiful white garment prepared for wearing to an event. However, either through carelessness or forgetfulness, it got tainted with spots everywhere. Until it is washed, it is no longer useful.

Every individual born to this world can be likened to the stained garment. All is not worthy of the Creator. Until a person has an encounter with God, where he is cleansed and converted, he is seen as being inadequate.

The world is riddled with all kinds of wrongdoings. Humans are more enamoured with sin than with God. But no matter how enticing and attractive sin might be, its end result is destruction. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.

These are the last days, and the trumpet could sound any moment, even as we speak. The rapture could take place the next minute. The devil is hyped to lure as many souls as possible to hell with him. The devil subtly deceives some people into thinking self-righteousness puts them on the right path with God. However, it is made clear that our righteousness is nothing, but a filthy rag before the Creator (Isaiah 64:6). Good deed alone does not equal salvation nor freedom from judgment, neither is it a ticket for rapture. No man can be saved except through Jesus; it is clearly spelt out (Acts 4:12, 1Timothy 2:5).

Sin breeds guilt, condemnation and fear. The price is too steep to bear. One sin leads to another till life becomes miserable. Repentance on the other hand is free without pricing or bargaining (Isaiah 55:1). The devil is aware of the freedom that comes with salvation. He knows the enormous benefits and boundless joy that stems from repentance through the blood of Jesus. This is the reason he devises various sinful pleasures to lead millions astray. Jesus is merciful. He loves you so much, and He would be hurt to see His creatures toe the paths of destruction (John 3:16). This is why you are beseeched to make a U-turn from the wide road that leads to destruction.

The rewards of life in Christ are just too good to be passed up for ephemeral pleasures of the world (Matthew 7:13). There is only one key to unlock peace, good health, unlimited joy, protection, sufficient provision and the most important, eternity in heaven.

Repent Ye, Therefore And Be Converted! The Blood of Jesus is the instrument of salvation and conversion. Just say this simple prayer: “Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Have mercy on my soul. I confess Jesus as my Lord and personal Saviour, and I repent of my sins. I promise to obey you at all times and follow you to the end. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus’ name! Now that you are saved, locate a Bible teaching church and continue to grow in Jesus Christ. Have a blessed week. God Bless!
