The management, staff and students, together with parents, friends and well-wishers of Abiflorence Academy, Temidire, Ibafo, Ogun State, recently gathered to mark the school’s 10th Anniversary.

The celebration, which held in the school’s premises, provided opportunity for the students to display their skills and talents aside their academic studies.

The happy students entertained delighted guests with cultural dances, drama and poems, among others.

Proprietor of the school, Prince Adegoke Arimoro said the institution was established to provide strong academic and moral foundation for tomorrow’s leaders.

He explained that the school places premium on investment in ICT, in order to expose learners to global standard in all areas of teaching and learning.

He said: “Capacity building for staff shall continue to be on the front burner of the school’s administration to enhance teachers’ performance.”

Reviewing the school’s activities at 10, he expressed gratitude to God and those who stood by him and his wife during the teething period.

Going down memory lane, he said: “At 10, Abiflorence Memorial School as an academic institution is coming of age. We took off in August 4, 2008 with one-month free coaching classes. The school formally resumed on September 22, 2008. Here we are today, 10 years after. We appreciate God and all who have supported us in one way or the other, many of whom are here with us today. I thank you all.

“In 2008, little did we know that Abiflorence Memorial will be able to navigate the turbulence, but we give glory to God Almighty. Investing in education is not really for pecuniary benefit, but a determined venture for the betterment of society. We are encouraged by our desire to play our little role towards improvement of the standard of education in Nigeria.”

He advised the students to uphold the tenets of hard work and perseverance in order to attain the pinnacle of their careers and contribute to nation building.
