Two weeks ago, we discussed some important characters and attitude that are needed as ingredients to make people successful. This week, I will conclude with some few more attributes that are needed in a man’s life, if he must live a successful life.

The Fear Of God
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, they say. If a man does not have fear of God, he will lack the true divine wisdom to go on in life. When a man fears God, it makes him godly. Hence, he will be directed to take decisions that will profit him. Psa 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments: His praise endureth forever.

Given To The Needy
He is quick to give to those who may need what he has in his custody. Like the saying goes, givers never lack (Luke 6:38)

Give, and it shall be given unto you. Good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

For with the same measure that you give to others, it shall be measured to you again. A giver is like a farmer sowing his seed on vast land. You are planting good seeds on every person you help by giving him his needs. One day, you will surely reap according to how much you have given. No act of a giver is wasted (2Cor 9:6). But this I say, He, which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Friendliness
You must be friendly and exhibit a friendly and hospitable countenance. This will allow people to access you easily. Be ready to give a helping hand, once you can afford it, and you will also find help when you are in need. A man that wears an unfriendly countenance scares people away. (Proverbs 18:24)

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Optimistic
Be optimistic concerning every situation, and have positive expectation always in all that you have to encounter in your lifetime. This is the act of trusting God and having faith in His ability, rather than thinking of self-weakness or the inabilities of others. (Hebrew 11:6) But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. All things with hope and trusting God it will always end well. Don’t be a doubting Thomas. (James 1:8)
A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Ready To Learn
Be always ready to learn new things, when the chance avails itself. Don’t ever think you know too much already. Anybody that thinks he knows all things in full is a fool, and can’t be updated. Surely, he will be outdated. Be humble enough to learn from people, because by doing this, you receive information that will make you become skillful. Act 7:22

And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
