The deceitfulness of sin

Text: Proverb 16: 25

Sin presents the superficial pictures of evil to appear good, while aiming to destroy the acceptor. It disguises itself in different attractive ways to deceive man. If only man could recognise the danger of sin and its consequences, he will desist from it.

Those who embrace sin and its fantasies never come back to tell their stories. It stings its victims and jeopardises their future. Sin destroys destinies. Eli’s children were unruly; they defiled God’s House and paid dearly for their actions. God made them to die in war with their enemies and also allowed the Ark of God to be taken from them.

Some Christians are into businesses that negate the words of God. This includes believers who work at the breweries, beer parlours, clubhouses, fashion centres, among others. This is because God does not approve the activities going on in these places. Believers working in these places have no portion with the Lord until they repent.

Sadly, ministers in the temple of God do not have the boldness to rebuke their members who work here or engage in sinful acts. Nations, family and people can be destroyed as a result of sin. Pastors and ministers who condone the sins of their members do not have any business being at God’s altar. God’s altar is a citadel of truth and has to be defended by serious minded ministers.

The church must rise to speak against sin and call it by its name. Kingdom Power is to preach righteousness and defend its course. For those who may be waiting for Kingdom Power to soft-pedal on its messages against sin may be having an illusion because the church must stick to these messages until sin is wiped out from earth.

Calamity awaits any church that accommodates sin in any manner. Sin is deadly; it is like a dart that strikes through the heart of an individual. It is a trap set by the enemies to drag men to destruction. Be guided!

Call sin by its name. Whoever touches it, is automatically emptied of all the heavenly deposits. The darts sin throws at its victims, go into the major organs of the body and sap the individual of his/her resources before death.

Cemeteries and mortuaries are filled with voices of men regretting their actions and those who died of sin. This is why those who are still alive should be cautious with the words of God; accept and obey them. Parents should guide and teach their children righteousness.

Parents who buy Nollywood films and introduce their children to television channels that promote immorality are wicked and do not love their children. Satan is evil; nothing good comes from him. He disguises sin for good to lead man astray. Devil is a chronic deceiver and can never change from it.

Sin is the first product of Lucifer, the Devil; so, whosoever touches it is patronising Lucifer. The end result of this Devil’s product is death.

There are books in heaven that take records of all human daily actions and activities — good or bad. All the secrets of men are written before the Lord and will be made manifest on the last day. Sin builds hell for mankind and man foolishly goes there. Those who built their wealth on corruption and blood money will have their places in hell.

Repent from your sin today and God will have mercy on you.
