Political power is limited by sovereignty of nations… Economic power is limited by the limit of available resources under control. Spiritual power is limited to the sphere and area of control in the spiritual. All these powers you struggle to acquire them. But there is an unsearchable power (contained in this gift) that transforms a mortal being to become a god; just the same way the child born or adopted to a king becomes a prince! This power first manifests as dominion over sin and the flesh. “Sin shall no longer have dominion over you!”

Then this power manifests as the will power to do God’s will. “He it is that worketh in us to do and to will of his good pleasure.” Then this power manifests in the efficacy of your word.

For where the word of the king is, there is power… “You shall decree a thing and it shall be established.” Then this power gets recognised by other lesser powers known as principalities and powers… Why? Because the giver of this power is the head of all principalities and powers!

Colossians 1:15-16
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

No longer will you be a victim but a victor. No longer will life happen to you, but you will make things happen.

Change of Status:
You become Sons (Children) of God. The whole essence of the power that is released by this gift is the change of our status from being slaves to sons and daughters (children) of God. You give gifts only to the ones you love, isn’t it?

1 John 3:1-3
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The evidence that we are true children of God is living a life of purity, just as He is pure.

Purity of thought and action. Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.’ Of all the people that claim to be Christians every Sunday (some on Sundays alone), Christ knows those who are His.

This gift is still on offer today. God is still in the presentation mode… Isaiah 55:6-7 says;
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

That gift called Jesus not only changes your status, but also wipes off your past. Once you receive Him, your past sins are deleted from God’s memory. There would, therefore, be no condemnation for you anymore. You will truly be a new creature… The one God can truly recognise. Just in case you’ve misplaced that gift in your life, He’s available to be found again and you can start afresh… And just in case you haven’t truly accepted Him, you can do so today.
