Mark 16:15-18: “And he said unto them, ‘Go ye into all the world,’ and preach the gospel to every creature. 16: He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17: And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. 18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Well-trained, responsible and obedient children do not declare freedom from their father; even when they are grown ups. They obey him and ensure he succeeds in any project(s) he embarks on. Good children know the will of their father and his expectation from them at all times, hence they do not wait for instruction to carry out his assignments. This is applicable to the children of God who are, indeed, the believers or currently the church.
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not mince words when He said to His earthly parents when they were looking for Him after the census in Bethlehem: “And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49: And he said unto them, ‘How is it that ye sought me?’ Knew ye not that I must be about my Father’s business”’? (Matthew 2:48 – 49).
The Almighty God is the Father and the business in question is evangelism. He aimed at reclaiming the lost kingdom and propagating the King’s will in heaven to everyone on earth. At this time, our Lord Jesus Christ was in the temple discussing Bible contents with the scribes and the Pharisees. He was just 12 years old then, but His knowledge of the Bible threw big challenges to the elders and teachers of the law, who began to argue with Him. He was more interested in that biblical discussion than going home with the earthly parents.
In the lead scripture, He, our Lord Jesus Christ issued standing instruction to His disciples to go into the world and preach the gospel; the message of the kingdom He has come to reclaim. The people who will accept this message will be saved for everlasting life with Him, while the people who reject the same message will be damned and thrown into hellfire where they will spend their eternal life in agony and gnashing of the teeth.
God, the King who resides in heaven, wanted the heavenly kingdom expanded to earth. The kingdom on the earth, which God created and handed over to man to take charge, dominion, replenish, and subdue, was lost to a usurper the devil. It is this lost kingdom, our Lord Jesus Christ has come to reclaim. He brought the message of the kingdom, which must be propagated in the heart of men to make them change their mindset and think like kingdom citizens. Our Lord Jesus Christ started this business of the father in the street of Galilee, announcing to the people to repent that the Kingdom of God was near. The disobedience of the word of God must make a detour, jettison Satan and his deception, and totally obey God’s word. He came so that men can obey the words of God, do His will and make His glory fill the earth. This propagation of the kingdom message in the heart of men is the business of the father, which is the work our Lord Jesus Christ has come to finish. Our Lord Jesus Christ, having converted us to be His disciples, we must join Him to finish the work of evangelism which is the business of the father. That is why He said this in John 4:34-36: “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35: Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36: And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”
The work of the Father, the King in heaven must be finished and there is no other time to do the work than now that the harvest is ripe. The heartbeat of the King is evangelism for soulwinning, hence the commandment to go into the world and preach the gospel to all creatures. There should be no allowance for distractions as our Lord Jesus Christ resisted it during His earthly ministry. The total focus should be on the work because we are to do the will of the King and serve His purpose on earth. Man should make effort at all times to please God, who created him. The Bible is emphatic in Revelations 4:11, when it says: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” When we do the work of the Father it gives Him honour. We must please Him because He created all things, including human beings for His pleasure.
Again prudent management of the resources the King has put under your care is also doing the business of the Father and pleasing Him. God created man to take care of all things He has created. Genesis 1:26-28 is clear on this: “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27: So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
God created man in His own image and placed him on the earth as His own representative, to govern the earth. We are to manage the resources God has created and placed on earth. As we carry out this mandate, we are doing the work of God. While man embarks on the work of evangelism for soul winning and the salvation of lost souls, God expects us to manage His personal business well and equally take good care of His family. All this give pleasure to God, the Heavenly King, we are representing on earth. As you take time to do these works, God will be happy with you at all times and hereafter.
Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Spirit Of Death Crushed, Prosperity Restored
I am Brother Okwudiri Nwachukwu. I live at Ikotun and worship at Unity branch. I have come to glorify the Lord for what he has done in my family. When we were born, my parents were well to do and we were living fine, suddenly everything crumbled. As a result of this, my mother who was a full house wife began to buy and re-sale palm-kernels in our local market. My father would use his car to convey the palm-kernels to and fro market until the vehicle broke down. Since there was no money to fix it, the car remained in our compound. Little did we know that strange power (marine power) was at work in the family.
Within the period, my elder brother who was married for just six months took ill and suddenly fell into coma and died. Then my younger sister whom a suitor had agreed on a date to pay her dowry also took ill, fell into coma and died, just on the day fixed for her dowry to be paid. It was at this point that I knew there was problem, but how to solve it became a challenge.
At a point, my brother that stayed at Ajangbadi connected me to his friend that claimed his G.O would solve my problem; so, we went to the G.O, and he made all sorts of prophesies, yet no solutions in sight. I continued to search for a place of deliverance until I met a Chosen brother in a commercial bus, who preached and shared some handbills to us in the vehicle. With the handbill, l traced my way to Chosen and in the service that day, G.O. said: “Continuation brings freedom.” I said ok, this is not a journey of one day, so, l continued coming. Three days after coming to the Chosen, l had a dream, where l climbed a 25-storey building that had no steps. When it was time for me to come down from the building, it became impossible. I stood there thinking of what to do and suddenly, l heard someone mention my name thrice and I also answered each time. The voice said: “Calm down, I coming to you.” Then l woke up.
After the dream, I had series of attack. In one of my dreams, the enemies chased me to a point that a man appeared and hid me in his house and when they had gone, he put me in a car to take me home, but the enemies intercepted the vehicle on our way, saying I should alight from it. I was afraid since I was the only passenger, but then, suddenly G.O. appeared and opened the front door. He asked them: “What has this young man done that you want to kill him?” They began to level different accusations against me, after that G.O. asked whether they had finished, and they answered in the affirmative. He, then, told them that as long as he was there, nobody had the authority to touch me. Then, I woke up. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!
Gradually, l noticed that the attacks were subsiding, but our finances were still in jeopardy. Then my wife had a baby, but there was no money to settle the hospital bills and get other essentials. The situation was so bad that l had to drop my phone at the hospital before the hospital management could release my wife. Returning home from the hospital, there was no food in the house for about three days; in fact, l was planning to leave the house for God knows where, but my wife unknowingly ruined the plan. And her question that day: “Am I not going to eat for the day? made me weep bitterly, but had to summon courage and went to market. Behold, that day, God made a name for Himself. I came home smiling.
Before then, I had a dream where our G.O gave me N200 note (mint) and said, “l should go and tell people that have problem to come.” Lo and behold, since that day, we have not lacked food in my house. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!
Now, God is gradually restoring all we had lost. My father that could not repair his car recently paid N20,000,000 (twenty million naira only) for his son to travel abroad. This should tell you that God has started doing something in my family. The Lord’s Chosen is not like other churches, Chosen is the Finger of God, there was this relative of mine that died sometime ago, before she died, we discussed this Church. Then, Chosen was still new in town. I saw that my late sister in the dream and she said, I should obey whatever our G.O says because he will never deceive people. That goes to show that even the living and the dead know that our G.O is called from heaven and Chosen is of the Lord’s. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!
God of Chosen is great. May His name be glorified in Jesus’s name.
