President of the MWAN, Lagos Chapter, Dr. Ibironke Sodeinde, disclosed this during an event to consolidate partnership with Bright Hope For Widows Initiative (BHFWI), as part of activities to celebrate women.

Sodeinde urged women not to quit but to challenge any problem facing them. She advised widows not to quit amidst life challenges but to remain steadfast despite their negative experiences.

She counseled them not to engage in any activity that could affect their wellbeing and to remain health-conscious at all times, urging them to celebrate themselves beyond their challenges.

The MWAN delegation later donated foodstuffs, including bags of rice, garri cartons of Spagehtti, cooking oil, and other items to the widows.

The President/Founder of BHFWI, Mrs. Foluke Omosehin, who expressed gratitude to MWAN for the gesture, said BHFWI’s goal and objectives were to bring succour to widows and build a strong hope for them to live.

“It is also to put smiles on their faces and enable them to see widowhood as a challenge and not a curse.”

Dr. Sodeinde charged them to celebrate themselves and challenge everything that is against women.

The Secretary of BHFWI, Mrs. ‘Biyi Tunji- Olugbodi thanked Dr. Sodeinde and MWAN Lagos for the kind gesture.
