Your season of open doors
Text: Acts 2:1-24; Rev. 3:7-8
The dictionary defines door as a hinged, sliding or revolving barrier at the entrance of a building, room or vehicle. So based on this definition, we can say an open door is an entrance into a place without hindrance or barrier.
Now let us look at the story of Peter in acts 12:1-24. Peter was locked up in prison with sixteen soldiers guarding him all the time, so the church prayed earnestly to God for Peter’s release. On the day that Peter was to be brought out to die, while he was sleeping, the angel of God woke him up and told Peter to follow him. They passed through the first and second guard of soldiers unhindered, when they came to the great iron-gate, the gate opened all by itself.
When the Spirit of God says that it is your season of open doors it means that some doors or gates were closed, but now as a child of God, you will have access into them.
Before you experience open doors, you will have to follow all of God’s instructions like Peter did, he followed the angel and came out of prison miraculously. Because for every child of God there’s always an iron gate, the devil will do all he can to arrest your business, your job, your health but God is saying this is your season of open doors, doors are opening by themselves.
Even sometimes, God allows one door close to you before another door with abundant blessings opens for you. So no matter your state, you’ve got to trust God with all your heart, study His word, pray earnestly like the church prayed for Peter. Be proud that you are a child of God, talk to people about Him because when you evangelize Him, He’ll sanitize those things that shouldn’t be seen in your life.
This is your season of open doors where every impossibility becomes possible.
Rev. 3:7-8 says, “These things say He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts, and no one opens. “I know your works, see I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it, for you have a little strength, I have kept my words and I have not denied my name.” So if you follow the man that has the key of David, which is Jesus, your life will have new meaning. Your season for open door is now and I pray that doors of endless opportunities will be opened to you and nothing will stop your testimony in Jesus name.
