The Lagos State government on Friday announced that a section of the Eko Bridge—Costain to Alaka descent—would be closed to vehicular movement from 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, and would be reopened to traffic by 4 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Equipment worth 1.2 million Euros will be imported to effect maintenance on Eko Bridge in Lagos, Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi says. Mr Clement Ezeorah, Assistant Director, Information, at the Federal Ministry of Works made this known in a statement he issued on Sunday in Abuja.

The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, in collaboration with Lagos State government, yesterday, announced a temporary closure of the Alaka-Costain-Iganmu section of the Eko Bridge (inward Island) for 40 days, from Sunday, July 23, 2023.
