A tribute to Lade Bonuola: The unassuming doyen of Nigerian journalism

As I stood in the doorway, watching Mr Lade Bonuola, aka Ladbone, chat with Elder Mac Alabi, the Night Editor of The Guardian, I was struck by the warmth and camaraderie between them. Ladbone’s gentle wave and whispered hello belied his towering presence in Nigerian journalism.
