#ENDSARS success is triumph of technology’

Information Technology entrepreneur and the Chief Innovation Officer of Appi Technologies, Chidera Emerenini, has said that the success of the recent #ENDSARS protest across the country was a triumph for technology.

“Anyone still doubting how much that can be achieved through strategic deployment of IT Solution is living in denial. The way the #ENDSARS protest was given life by technological leverage is a hint of what can be achieved when we decide to embrace IT solution across board,” he stated.

According to him, despite the unfortunate loss of lives and looting that the nationwide protest witnessed, there is no denying the fact that a number of democratic processes needed upgrading.

“The nationwide mobilisation, daily agenda setting, viral messaging and more importantly, global attention were all curated through different applications.”

Appi Technologies according to Emerenini also supported the struggle with food packs which he said was an offshoot of the huge traction the protect generated.

He said the level of impact generated, drew responses from all stakeholders in the process and may perhaps set the tone for how technology would be used going forward to drive home demands and set agenda for government and democratic processes.

“The effect of the massive impact of technology has driven the government to proposing a way to stifle the social media going forward; but irrespective of the way the proposed bill goes, the bill on its own is admittance in disguise of the impact and future potential of IT solutions altering the established and conventional democratic processes,” he added.

He said, Appi Solution as a leading IT Solution provider in the country has and is still helping leading corporation, analyse, build and deploy winning IT strategies especially for those that intend to widen their reach both nationally and across the globe.
