Remember those three adorable little girls created by Professor Utonium who turned out to be superheroes? The Powerpuff Girls was pretty badass then.
If you loved this show in the ’90s, then there is good news and good news — nothing like bad news when this is concerned.
First of all, Cartoon Network released an image signalling that there will be a fourth Powerpuff Girl. They announced the exciting news on Twitter, revealing that a first look of the new character will debut on September 17 at 5:30 PM. Yay!

Secondly, she will be black. The fourth Powerpuff Girl wil be voiced by SA Singer Toya Delazy, as she announced on Twitter shortly after. Double yay!

It’s definitely inspiring to see the Cartoon Network include diversity among one of its most beloved cartoon series, and dark-skinned people can finally relate to a characteer in the show.
