Islamic Scholar and Iman of State Missioner Ansar ur deen Society of Nigeria Ogun State Chapter ‘Alhaji (Imam) Yunus Ajao Odekunle is calling on the Muslim faithful to embrace and Practice the Teachings of the Holy Qu’ran and Prophet Mohammed in this period of Ramadan.

Yunus said Muslims must take advantage of Ramadan to seek genuine repentance from Allah. According to him, Islam is a religion of Peace.

He, therefore, urged all Muslim brothers and sisters to reflect on the noble practice of ensuring peaceful co-existence and love amongst friends family and members of the society.

Reacting to Ahmad Abubakar Gumi popularly called Sheikh Gumi for labeling his son Lukmon Odekunle a traitor, Yunu he like Gumi believes in strict adherence to Islam and the teaching of Prophet Mohammed.

He said he will always stand by the truth, regardless. He stated that his son like every grown man is totally responsible for his actions and as such, his son should be punished for his actions.

He also reacted to his son’s alleged involvement in a same-sex affairs. The Islamic scholar stated that he also has heard the rumor, whether it is true or not, he wouldn’t know, however, what he does know is that, ‘Islam outrightly condemns and forbid such practice’, and that anyone caught indulging in such practice should be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law, whether it is his son or not.

Yunus seized the opportunity to wish President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), the IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, CP Ogun State, Chief Imam FCT Abuja, the Chief Imam of Ogun State chapter, and his excellency, Governor of Ogun State, (Dapo Abiodun), Sheikh Gumi and all Muslim faithful, ‘Ramadan Kareem’.
