The Young Progressive Party (YPP) senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Dr. Anthony Umeadi, has assured quality representations to his people if elected.
Umeadi, who is a medical doctor, made the disclosure while interacting with newsmen in Awka, saying his senatorial ambition is about lifting the district out of 31 years of under representation.
He promised to always consult widely with his people at all times, adding that he would be a senator with a difference.
The hopeful senatorial candidate lamented what he called low representation by previous National Assembly members from the area. He maintained they were unleashing hardship on the people.
He accused past senators from the zone of promising what they could not do for the zone, insisting that time has come to stop such unfulfilled promises.
“They promised what they have no intention to do. It is time we stopped these jokers, who promise what they cannot do. If given the opportunity, I would invite everybody to understand their needs.
“We need a people-oriented administration that would allow periodic assessment of the extent dividends of democracy are delivered to the people,” he said.
