
The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC)/ International Olympic Committee (IOC) sports administration solidarity course has ended in Abraka, Delta State.
The four-day event ended at the weekend at the indoor sports hall of Delta State University, Abraka, with 22 sports administrators drawn from across the country taken through new skills in sports administration.
Speaking at the end of the course, NOC President, Habu Gumel, praised the participants for making the right decision to enrich their knowledge and enjoined them to go back to their domains and put what they have learnt into practice.
Gumel also commended the resource persons for making the programme a huge success in spite of all of the challenges they faced.
The course was facilitated by Godspower Odedede, and executive members of NAPHER-SD, Delta State, while the programme directors were Emmanuel Nweri, Dr Toyin Esther Aluko, with Deborah Chidobi as the programme officer.
The invited speakers were IOC Advanced Programme Director, Prof. Clement Fasan, chairman of NOC Athletes Commission, Olumide Oyedeji, Prof. Abiodun Moronfolu of the Lagos State University, Dr. Rasheed Oyhikire, Dr. George Ashiru and a former Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Tandor.
