No fewer than one life was lost in a fatal accident when a fuel tanker ran over 10 vehicles opposite Kresta Laurel Plaza, Maryland, Lagos State.

An eyewitness account reported that the tanker driver was under the influence of alcohol while driving at high speed.

He was said to have lost control of the truck, resulting in the accident.

“He was unaware that he had rammed into the vehicles. The person who died was avoiding being hit by the tanker. He jumped out of his vehicle.

Unfortunately, the tanker ran over him, smashing his head to the ground,” an eyewitness told Channels Television.

As of the time of filing this report, the police had arrived at the scene.
