The All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, inaugurated the national campaign council that will coordinate and oversee the campaigns of the party for the off-cycle governorship election in Ondo State.

National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, while inaugurating the Council in Akure, Ondo State capital, said that the campaign council would be headed by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Ganduje, who urged the people of the state to vote en masse for Aiyedatiwa, said that his victory at the poll would ensure that the developmental and progressive strides existing in the state continue.

However, Sanwo-Olu, who served in the same capacity four years ago during the second term bid of the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, said that the campaigns of the APC would be issue-based.

On his part, Aiyedatiwa said that the governorship election “promises to be a defining moment for APC, Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

“What we are doing here today is a display of the strength of our will when we work together. It is the evidence of our capability, which, by God’s grace, will produce victory on November 16, 2024.

“The successful journey of APC in Ondo State to this point is an open book. Everyone who reads it knows it. They know what power our unity, cooperation, and vision can unleash. Other political parties, even our opponents, now know what they lack but which we have in abundance,” he said.
