As Christian faithful around the world celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ this weekend, the Ajayi Dahunsi Memorial Baptist Church (TADMBC) has announced its 2025 Easter Cantata themed “Crown of Victory.”
The yearly musical concert will be held today at 10:00 a.m. at the church auditorium, located at 55/57 Akanro Street, Ilasamaja, Lagos.
In a statement regarding this year’s Cantata, the Pastor of the Church, Rev. Dr Olusola Idowu, reflected on the privilege of experiencing Christ’s sacrificial love through His death and resurrection.
“Our Easter Cantata affords us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the sacrificial love of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, which He fully expressed through His death and resurrection. We invite you to join us this year as we specifically reflect on His Crown of Righteousness (Revelation 14:14). You will surely be blessed as you come,” he said.
The Cantata promises to be an unforgettable time of worship, reflection, and celebration. With voices raised in unity and praise, the concert will affirm the hope of every believer, that one day, we too shall wear the crown of life, having remained faithful through the trials of this world.
“TADMBC, in partnership with the Nigerian Baptist Convention, remains dedicated to fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission to disciple all nations. Join us for an evening of worship, reflection, and celebration at the Sanctuary of Peace and Love.”
He added: “This year’s theme, taken from Revelation 14:14, underscores the triumphant vision of Christ crowned in glory and coming in power. It reminds believers of the ultimate victory Jesus secured over death and sin through His crucifixion and resurrection; a victory that offers eternal hope to all who put their faith in Him.”
The Easter Cantata is a long-standing tradition at the church, showcasing choral performances, hymn singing, and soul-lifting music that echo the message of salvation and triumph.
The event is open to the general public and is expected to draw attendees from within and beyond the Lagos Christian community.
