Adeolu takes creative leap into music, film with Falling Notes

It was a defining moment for Saga Adeolu, a visual artist, singer, and filmmaker who officially made his debut as an Executive Producer with the premiere of his new YouTube film, Falling Notes, last weekend Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Banex Cinemas, Oniru, Lagos.

Falling Notes, a romantic drama that explores the intersection of love, fame, and music, tells the story of a rising musician whose growing fame tests his love and sense of self, a reflection of modern artistic pursuit and emotional truth. It follows a young musician’s emotional and artistic awakening as he navigates the pressures of success and self-discovery.

Speaking about the project, Saga said: “This film represents a turning point for me not just as an actor, but as a creator. I wanted to make something that speaks to the reality behind ambition and relationships, and to explore the art of storytelling beyond what people have seen me do before. Producing Falling Notes was both exhausting and fulfilling, but it’s also the most honest thing I’ve created.”

The film, which features Saga performing original songs, also inspired the release of an accompanying EP Falling Notes, merging sound and storytelling in a way that highlights his creative evolution.

The premiere was attended by reality TV stars, industry colleagues, and media executives, the buzzing red carpet was hosted by Jay On Air, welcoming a stunning lineup of guests including Layi Wasabi, Bisola Aiyeola, Denrele Edun, Cee C, Rooboy, Mister World Tourism winner Zeal Nation, Sandra Okunzuwa, movie producer Omoni Oboli, and many others who came to celebrate Saga’s milestone moment.

One of the evening’s most emotional highlights was seeing Saga’s father walk the red carpet beside him, a proud moment of recognition for his son’s artistic growth and resilience. More than a film, Falling Notes is a statement: a declaration of creative independence and emotional transparency from one of Nigeria’s most evolving voices in entertainment.

It officially started showing on Saga Adeolu TV (YouTube) on Sunday, October 19, and is already drawing significant attention as one of the most talked-about feature length films on the platform. With this project, Adeolu cements his position as a multi-faceted Nigerian creative, unafraid to blur the lines between art forms and challenge conventions within Nollywood’s growing YouTube film scene.

Falling Notes is written and produced by Adeolu, with music performed by him as part of an accompanying original soundtrack EP.
