A youth-based organisation in Bauchi State, Pate Youth Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI has praised the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, for facilitating employment opportunities for 2,777 young people across the state.
The group described the development as a major milestone in youth empowerment, stressing that it reflects a deliberate effort to address unemployment and promote inclusive growth.
Speaking during a press briefing in Bauchi, the Director-General of the group, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan, said the initiative goes beyond job creation, describing it as a strategic step toward strengthening the socio-economic fabric of the state.
According to him, the unveiling of PYI signals the emergence of a structured youth platform designed to mobilise, engage, and inspire young people toward active participation in governance and development.
He explained that the organisation has already built a wide-reaching structure, with representatives across all 20 local government areas, senatorial districts, wards, and a growing base of volunteers committed to its objectives.
Hassan noted that the group draws inspiration from Pate’s leadership style, which he said prioritises human capital development and service to society.
In addition to highlighting the employment initiative, the group also threw its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, endorsing him for a second term in office. It argued that continuity in leadership is necessary to sustain ongoing reforms and developmental programmes.
PYI further urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider Pate as a viable candidate for the Bauchi State governorship in the 2027 elections, citing his experience and capacity to unify diverse interests.
“Just as Nigeria needs continuity at the national level, Bauchi State requires transformational leadership at the state level,” the group stated.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful political engagement and called on youths and other stakeholders to support efforts aimed at fostering unity, democratic participation, and sustainable development in Bauchi State.
