Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is set to commission a multi- billion naira Model Smart School at Radda community, in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Gov Abdulrazaq, who doubles as the Chairman, Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF), is scheduled to commission the project Tuesday morning (today).
A statement by a spokesperson for the governor, Ibrahim Mohammed, said the school is one of the three Smart Schools established by government to modernize the education system and promote digital learning across the state.
“The school is specifically designed to cater for talented and gifted pupils, particularly those from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing access to quality education, modern learning tools, and a supportive environment aimed at nurturing future leaders.
“The project is described as a transformative investment in the education sector aimed at repositioning learning outcomes in the state.
“The Radda Model Smart School represents a major milestone in efforts to modernize education and equip students with the skills required for the future.
“The project also forms part of the broader human capital development strategy through the provision of modern infrastructure and digital learning facilities.
“It reflects the commitment of the administration to improving access to quality education and creating a conducive learning environment for children across the state.
“The Smart School is equipped with modern facilities designed to support digital learning, innovation, and academic excellence.
“The initiative aligns with global best practices in education and is expected to serve as a model for similar interventions across the state,” Mohammed added.
