Minor aircraft fault responsible for Lagos-London disruption – Air Peace

Air Peace

Air Peace has said that minor aircraft fault discovered by its technical team after the routine post boarding was responsible for the disruption of its scheduled Lagos-London flight on Friday.

A statement on Saturday by Air Peace’s Spokesman, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, however, said that all the affected passengers were immediately informed of the situation and provided with support, including hotel accommodation and other necessary assistance to ensure their comfort.

Osifo-Whiskey stated that in line with the airline’s uncompromising commitment to safety and global aviation standards, the aircraft was promptly withdrawn from service and passengers safely disembarked.

To minimise further disruption, Air Peace emphasised that a replacement aircraft from London would be dispatched and passengers are scheduled to depart this morning (Saturday).

The statement added: “At Air Peace, the safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew will always take precedence over operational schedules. While we understand the inconvenience this situation may have caused, taking swift preventive action was the responsible and necessary decision.

“We deeply appreciate the patience, understanding and cooperation shown by our passengers during this period. Their trust remains incredibly important to us. Air Peace remains fully committed to delivering safe, reliable service at all times.”
