The Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group and founder of The Delborough Lagos, Stanley Uzochukwu, has completed a High Performance Leadership programme at the University of Oxford, months after undertaking multiple executive education programmes at Harvard Kennedy School.
Uzochukwu, regarded as one of Nigeria’s emerging business figures, completed several leadership and strategic management programmes at Harvard Kennedy School in 2025, including Emerging Leaders, Leadership Decision Making, Leading Successful Programs Using Evidence, and Strategic Leadership for Personal Effectiveness.
He also completed a Master of Business Administration degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Business School in December 2025.
Founded in 2012, Stanel Group has grown into a diversified Nigerian conglomerate with investments spanning energy, hospitality, and retail sectors.
Under Uzochukwu’s leadership, the company has expanded its operations nationally while developing partnerships across multiple sectors and creating employment opportunities despite Nigeria’s challenging economic environment.
In November 2023, the businessman launched The Delborough Lagos, a luxury hospitality brand that has hosted international dignitaries, diplomats, African leaders, and other high-profile guests.
The hotel project further strengthened his profile within the hospitality industry and earned him recognition, including the “Seven Stars Man of the Year” honour and induction into the Seven Stars Pantheon of Hospitality.
Beyond business operations, Uzochukwu currently serves as Chairman of the UNIZIK Advancement Board and is a member of the DRC–Nigeria Business Council.
He also sits on the Governing Council of Igbinedion University and serves as a board member of UNIZIK Business School.
According to the institution, he remains the youngest individual appointed to the Governing Council of Igbinedion University.
His professional affiliations include recognition as a Certified Management Consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and a Fellow of the same institute. He is also a Certified Management Specialist of the London Graduate School.
Uzochukwu has received several recognitions over the years, including the Commander of Anambra State honour, SUN Newspaper Investor of the Year 2023, Guardian Newspaper Top 50 CEOs of Excellence in Nigeria 2023, and the Africa Achievers Award for Enterprise and Business Impact.
He has also participated as a speaker at the 500 CEO Summit in the United States.
Outside corporate leadership, the businessman runs the Stanley Uzochukwu Foundation, which focuses on scholarships, entrepreneurship support, housing assistance for widows, and community development initiatives across Africa.
According to him, his leadership journey has been shaped by discipline, consistency, faith, and long-term strategic thinking.
