Ondo Titans conclude trials, sets sight on raising future football stars

A new chapter in grassroots football development has begun in Ondo State, as Ondo Titans Football Club successfully concluded its player trials, attracting talented young footballers from different parts of the state.

The trials, organised to identify exceptional talents and build a competitive squad for future competitions, showcased the abundance of raw football ability within the region.

Over the course of the exercise, players were assessed on technical ability, discipline, fitness, tactical awareness, and overall potential.

The management of Ondo Titans FC described the turnout and quality of players as encouraging, reaffirming the club’s mission to become a major force in youth football development in Nigeria.

Speaking at the end of the trials, the Chairman of Ondo Titans FC, Temitope Adebiyi, expressed satisfaction with the success of the exercise and shared the club’s long-term vision.

He said: “Ondo Titans is more than just a football club; it is a platform created to give talented young players the opportunity to dream big and compete at the highest level.

“Our goal is to build a football institution of international standard, one that will not only compete in the Nationwide League One (NLO) and eventually the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), but also become a pathway for talented players to gain exposure locally and internationally.”

Adebiyi noted that his exposure to football structures abroad inspired the creation of a professionally managed club focused on discipline, player welfare, modern football development, and sustainable growth.

He emphasised that Ondo Titans FC is committed to creating opportunities for talented youths who may not ordinarily have access to professional football platforms.
