Why Oyebanji Swept Ekiti Governorship Poll – RHA

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) have attributed the sweeping victory of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the Ekiti governorship election to his performance in office, the support of the people, and the impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

In a statement congratulating the governor on his re-election, the group said the outcome of the poll reflected the confidence of Ekiti voters in Oyebanji’s Shared Prosperity Agenda and its alignment with the President’s vision for Nigeria.

According to the RHA, Governor Oyebanji earned the overwhelming mandate through visible achievements in infrastructure development, agriculture, healthcare, education and youth empowerment during his first term.

The group also credited President Tinubu’s reforms and policies for creating an enabling environment that strengthened public support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The commendation comes against the backdrop of a commanding electoral performance by Oyebanji, who secured victory by a wide margin, winning in all 16 local government areas of the state and polling significantly ahead of his closest rivals.

The outcome made him the first incumbent governor in Ekiti State’s history to achieve such a comprehensive electoral sweep, underlining the breadth of support enjoyed by his administration across the state.

Commending the peaceful conduct of the election, the RHA said the transparent and well-attended poll demonstrated the trust reposed in the governor by the people of Ekiti State.

The organisation further praised party leaders and campaign coordinators for their efforts, describing the victory as a validation of good governance, effective grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement with the electorate.

The RHA expressed confidence that Oyebanji’s second term would build on existing achievements and deliver greater development across the state, while urging supporters to channel the momentum from the Ekiti victory towards the forthcoming Osun governorship election.
