…launches 5,100 canvassers in three LGAs for guber poll

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2026 Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has assured residents of his commitment to revitalising the state’s economy through strategic investments, job creation and industrial development.

Oyebamiji, better known as AMBO, speaking at the inauguration of 5,100 canvassers across three local government areas, including Iwo, Ayedade and Ola-Oluwa, to galvanise grassroots support ahead of the poll, pledged to prioritise critical sectors when elected Governor.

According to him, “The finances and economy of the state would be re-engineered and priority would be given to critical sectors such as agriculture, commerce, security, youths and women empowerment.

He added that his administration would raise the bar of governance and improve on the welfare and general well-being of the people through the formulation and implementation of policies that would turnaround the fortunes of the Federal Constituency in particular and Osun at large.

The APC candidate charged the canvassers to take the party’s message directly to the people, stressing that victory at the polls would depend largely on effective engagement with voters at the grassroots level.

He said, “It’s time for you to embark on door-to-door campaigns, such an approach would make people believe in our “PROSPER” agenda and how realistic it is in no distance time when elected.”

Earlier, the Director General, Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Oluwole Oke, boasted that the party is good at removing sitting governors.

Also, the Osun APC State Secretary and Chairman of the Campaign Council for Iwo Federal Constituency, Alao Kamoru, disclosed that 30 canvassers were selected from each of the 170 polling units in Iwo, bringing the total number of canvassers to 5,100.

In their separate remarks, Director General, Osun West Senatorial District Campaign Committee, Dotun Babayemi, National Commissioner, Federal Civil Service Commission, Festus Oyebade Olowogboyega, APC State Secretary, Hon. Kamorudeen Alao, APC Osun West Senatorial candidate, Akin Ogunbiyi, APC House of Representatives Candidate, Engr. Abeeb Ademola Adebayo urged the people of their Constituency to vote massively for APC.
