Naijasalesmaker, a sales training and corporate consulting brand founded by Toyin Akaninyene Udoabba also known as Toyin Akan, has announced activities to mark its eighth anniversary with a 21-day visibility and consistency challenge for African small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs.

The anniversary will be marked on October 1, with the company saying the challenge has attracted about 8,000 African SMEs ahead of its commencement.

Toyin Akan, a sales professional with more than 20 years’ experience, founded Naijasalesmaker to provide practical sales and business training to entrepreneurs.

The company said it has, through its programmes, trained more than 69,000 entrepreneurs across Africa and the diaspora over the past eight years.

Toyin’s professional background includes corporate promotional and branding projects involving companies such as Dangote, Chi Limited, producers of Chivita, and Reckitt Benckiser, makers of Dettol.

She later channelled her corporate experience into SME-focused training through the Life-Changing Sales Academy, where entrepreneurs receive training and mentorship in sales, customer acquisition and business development.

Speaking on the company’s approach, Toyin said African business owners could build visibility without depending entirely on paid advertising.

“The standard narrative given to African vendors is that they must constantly feed social media platforms with ad money to survive. We have proven that narrative wrong,” she said.

According to her, the objective of the academy is to help entrepreneurs develop systems that can support their businesses beyond individual training sessions.

“Through the Life-Changing Sales Academy, we take businesses from ground zero and usher them into financial abundance by installing reliable systems. We don’t just drop courses and walk away,” Toyin said.

She added that the academy’s programmes include practical mentorship and accountability.

“The academy offers rigorous, hands-on mentorship, holding students accountable until they hit their growth targets,” she said.

The 21-day Visibility and Consistency Challenge, which begins on October 1, is expected to focus on organic search engine optimisation, online visibility and consistent marketing activities.

Naijasalesmaker said the initiative was designed to help participating businesses improve their digital presence and attract potential customers without relying solely on sponsored advertising.

The company said the challenge reflects its wider approach to helping SMEs understand customer acquisition, sales processes and digital visibility.

Over the past eight years, Naijasalesmaker has positioned its activities around sales education and practical business development, with its programmes targeted at entrepreneurs seeking to strengthen their commercial operations.

As the brand enters its ninth year, Toyin Akan said the focus would remain on providing entrepreneurs with practical tools and structures that could help them build more consistent businesses.

The anniversary activities are expected to further highlight the company’s work in SME training and its efforts to expand access to sales and business education across the African entrepreneurial community.
